hanging out with the muse...

how the muse speaks to me:

she has been whispering to me to create for a long time. sometimes she ignores me and i create nothing!! i like to think of myself as a person who likes to make things. i often dabble in different mediums...from beads to painting...and everything in between. my true passion was sculpture for years and i still feel it's call pretty strongly. i can't seem to find a way back to it though. mostly because i have no welding or casting equipment. but i do try to keep the muse alive by creating in various ways that catch my interest now and then.

more about me:

i'm a stay at home unschooling mom of 3 awesome kids...samuel, silas, and sadie. i love to create, dream, dance, do puzzles, laugh, watch tv and movies, play games, and watch my garden grow...and lots of other stuff too!!! i'm married to an amazing man, scotty, who keeps us all fed and clothed and sheltered by being a chef...we've been together for 14 years and it has been quite a journey.

A mom who participated in the recipe trades back along had a house fire and lost them all. So I scanned all the recipes and have a pdf file, it is too large to send in an e mail and too large to upload to the yahoo site. I can always send her a disc but thought if I could find a good place to upload it, then others could see the recipes as well. Thanks for any help.

New IT Network

i thought i'd use my post over at the IT yahoo loop for my first blog entry on here:

i have not been active in IT for awhile, but my kids have been requesting ATC trades again, so i've been thinking about it more. so last night we had our first IT real world create and trade ATC gathering and ren suggested that we start up a network similar to the one i created for radical unschoolers on ning.com. so i started it up this morning and i'm hoping it will be as successful and fun as the RUN site. h… Continue
