I have almost finished the bead and tiny flower embellishments on the dark doll - I think of her as fireworks at night, spanish dancing, bright celebrations. She looks great with the pearly heart pinned to her.
I'm going to embellish the light doll before I start on the skirts and then the charms.
Hey Deb - your dolls are coming along beautifully. I am very pleased with their pretty faces. Jayn and I collaborated on fantastic hair combos for them (which I have set aside until later). I also have a box of paper beads made from your pages which have turned out very nicely, sealed with Royal Coat (similar to ModPodge) - and the colorways just naturally divide into the two different dolls too.
Tonight I am doing the stuffing and will start the beadwork and surface embellishment tomorrow. I believe you will be happy! Fun, fun, fun.
No, not mine, but perhaps my muse. :) They are from collections my father made to gift others with, from visits to Tallin Estonia. I feel a kinship with the matreshka dolls, holding a multitude of others inside, the same but different. The candle house is my favorite - a slightly warped place where love resides. :)
