Meanderings of Gentle Gull

I mentioned that I have made a few pair of women's socks. I ran across some really pretty yarn, so I knew it would make wonderful socks. And it did. I make three pair last week, just couldn't knit fast enough, I wanted to see what the colors would create, how they would come together in socks.

They are not up on my etsy store yet but I hope to have them on there in a couple of weeks!! Aren't the colors just delisious?!

Tackle it Tuesday

I am so excited about this challenge. And I find myself looking at little cluttered spots around my home differently. Seeing what little spots I can tackle when I only have an hour or so. This week it was my sewing/crafting area. This is hard for me. I had a whole room, which I gave up for my son. Dallen wanted his own room, and this was the plan so it wasn't a surprise. I knew that I had a whole craft room until one of the boys wanted their own room, then my craft room would be a craft corner in the family room, and my craft room would become a bedroom. It isn't like I crafted in my craft room, but I was able to keep my crafting things organized and accessible. Now they are in bins behind the mirrored doors, a little harder to get at. And I have that corner you see in the picture. It just needs to be more organized. And now is the perfect time to do it because I have three pair of pants that I need to hem. Maybe if I tackle my house, one "corner" at a time, I can declutter and reorganize, LOL.

Create a page or two (or three) digitally. Create a page, even word software allows for really creative pages with text boxes and additions of photos or other art, colors etc. OR create a page IRL and scan it to send to me. Send as a .jpg or .pdf....

or is that the place you said it wouldn't fit? it doesn't have a message stating a size limit for files so i wasn't sure.

the only other thing i can think of would be to start a new discussion topic. at the bottom under "tags" is a section where you can attach files. try that and see if it will let you attach a large file. hope this helps =)

i'm sorry to hear about the fire, that is such a scary thing! i hope you will be able to get the file to her!

It then led to me fusing all the little left over pieces of plastics I had. I used a piece of parchment and then placed lots and lots of plastic pieces and then put another piece of parchment on top and ironed. I then peeled off the parchment paper and cut cards from what appeared. It is so cool, so many things could be made this way. Thanks for adding me as a friend here.

Quilting

OK getting back into quilting. Working on a New York Beauty Quilt with a friend. Well we are each working on our own quilt just using the same pattern and encouraging each other. Here is a picture of the inside, working on the boarders now.

Funky Art Bag Trade

OK we are headed off to the FLT Gathering in a couple of days so I wanted to work on the Funky Art Bag trade before we left. Started it yesterday morning and finished it up this morning. I am really liking it. Almost enough to keep it for myself. Although I know I will get one equally as beautiful in return. It is knitted with bead accents and a bright yellow fabric lining.
